Telling the Truth

I believe it is the duty of elected officials to tell the truth. It sounds simple, I know.

Very much, the job of an elected official is about communication. As a communications professional, I am well aware that the truth is not always easily digestible; it is not always a clean narrative; it can be inconvenient; it can go against someone's preconceived ideas. But those inconveniences don't negate reality.

As County Commissioner, I will always seek to make decisions informed by facts and evidence. I will always seek out the truth behind the issues we're facing. I will share that truth with the people of Faribault.

I will be honest and tell the truth to Faribault-- even if that truth isn't what people want to hear.
